We're seeking a Project Manager to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA at client construction projects. You will coordinate and supervise one or more residential, commercial, educational, and/or industrial projects. Oversees employees and ensure projects are completed in accordance with contract requirements and are on-time and within budget. Interfaces with all parties involved in the project(s) including the client(s). Position requires building construction management knowledge, Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint), and ability to dialogue with contractor superintendents and understand the industry terminology.

We're seeking a Project Manager to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA at client construction projects. Specifically, in this role you will:
- Management of the SB Thomas project team including project engineer(s) and project administration staff
- Provide pre-construction phase services including but not limited to constructability reviews, cost estimating or estimate reviews, site logistics planning, and phasing plans
- Review project schedules and track project progress
- add to purpose or physical requirements; travel to client sites
- Track, evaluate, negotiate, and prepare change orders
- Track status of and recommend possible solutions to requests for information
- Perform inspection of in-progress construction work
- Assure compliance with drawings and specifications
- Input daily inspection reports into the construction management platform
- Upload progress photos daily into the construction management platform
- Maintain project close-out documents including as-builts
- Have a good working knowledge of all project documents, including specifications, plans, submittals, subcontracts, shop drawings, and any other project specific documents
- Check materials being delivered against approved submittals to assure materials delivered/being installed are approved
- Assist in administrative procedures and maintaining records for the project
- Conduct meetings as necessary including but not limited to pre-bid, kick-off/pre-construction, owner update, coordination, and project meetings
- Assist with the coordination of special inspections and testing services and LEED testing, assure testing and special inspections are occurring, and create a log to documenting scheduling and performance of testing and special inspections.
- Review and approval of contractor schedule of values and payment applications
- Review project daily for safety issues, complete daily safety checklist, track and assure resolution of issues, and stop work if major safety issue(s) are identified.
- Assist design team with punch-list and perform project close-out activities
- Prepare weekly and/or monthly project status reports for submission to client
- Other Project Management duties as necessary
- May be required to perform cost estimating and other related duties, as assigned
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- 5 years construction experience plus 2 years construction management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field preferred
- Prior advisory construction management or general construction project manager experience preferred
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials
- Strong mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capacity to work well under pressure and enforce project schedules
- Demonstrated experience working with cross functional team members to achieve goals
- Excellent computer/laptop/ipad skills is a must
- Able to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must possess strong attention to detail
- Experience with reading blueprints and project specifications
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail
- Must have valid Driver License
- Must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background checks
- OSHA 30 Training or greater is preferred
The work environment requires an individual who is able, with or without reasonable accommodation to:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must travel to regional jobsites.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers
- Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
- Full-Time on-site (unless client or project requires otherwise)
